Hey guys!
I hope you all are having a great weekend.
I hope you all are having a great weekend.
If you’re
looking for a place to relax, New Zealand is the place to be. I know some Kiwi’s
(locals of NZ) disagree but believe me, it is such a relaxing place compare to
many other countries in this world, like Holland. As an Au Pair your task is to
take care of the children, ensure that they behave themselves and don’t kill each other (without being the angry babysitter). It can be pretty hard sometimes,
but if I look out the window and see the beautiful view, I remember why I’m
here again.
So the 1st
of February is my last day as an Au Pair here in Auckland, and Saturday I’m
heading South, trough the North Island with two other backpackers. Can’t wait
to drive and see the beautiful nature, hills, mountains and blue ocean. Until
then, I’ve to entertain myself. It’s frustrating sometimes, because I don’t
really have a chance to meet new people, because the clubs are in the centre
and if I’m going there with the car I’m not allowed to drink anything. But
today I finally met the lovely Courtney who lives here in Auckland, who I know
for already a few months now via the internet. She found my blog and contacted me
via email, and we decide to meet if I were in Auckland, so we did. It was so
cool! We had a coffee at the mall and went to the cinema to see the movie
Silver Linings (with Bradley Cooper, yumm). The movie was so much fun by the
way.
The last
week though, wasn’t really exciting. But we went to some area in Auckland to
shop, and I bought (as touristy as I am) two New Zealand hats (I really need
them in this lovely weather!).
Also I had many coffees and I’ve never seen the screen of my laptop and Samsung so much before. Only a couple days to go and then I’m totally ready to travel trough the North Island!

Living the
dream in New Zealand.
